Piers Morgan has made it very clear that he was not here for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s recent interview with Oprah Winfrey. He has been sharing his opinion about the matter both on-air, as well as on social media.
While discussing Meghan’s claims that a member of the Royal Family was concerned about her son’s skin color prior to his birth, as well as her many other revelations, Piers previously took to social media and said, “I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle, but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful.”
On Tuesday, his fellow television presenter Alex Beresford shared a few words with Piers while they were on-air, during “Good Morning Britain,” which caused Piers to walk off of the set.
Alex said, “I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made that so clear a number of times on this program. A number of times. And I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, but yet you continue to trash her.”
At that point, Piers is seen walking off as he said, “Okay, I’m done with this.”
Alex later took to Twitter and said:
I wish I had the privilege to sit on the fence. In order for me to do that I would have to strip myself of my identity and that’s not something I can do. It’s not any of our places to pick apart claims of racism in order to make us to feel more comfortable. ❤️
