Brightening Cleanser (30ml) is a gel cleanser made only from natural ingredients. It promises to protect the skin and gently clean it without stripping away of its natural oils. You won’t get squeaky clean skin by using this cleanser, which is excellent if you have reactive skin. However, I felt like I needed to double cleanse on the days I wore makeup, so I used some micellar water before continuing with this cleanser. The cleanser smells lovely of strawberries, though the scent is mild.
COQ10 Toner (30ml): I wish I could tell you differently, but something in this toner did not agree with my skin. Every time I sprayed it on my face, I got intense redness all over. Also, I felt like the toner starts to dry my skin out almost instantly after using it. On the other hand, I really like the ingredients, so I don’t think you should be discouraged from trying this product if you want to, but hopefully, you’ll get better results than I did.
Squalane Facial Oil (10ml) is made with one simple ingredient – 100% olive-derived squalane oil, known for its wonderful skincare benefits. It’s great for improving skin elasticity, texture, and hydration for most skin types. Although it’s an oil, it’s pretty light compared to some other oils, making it suitable even for oily skin. This was the only product I enjoyed using, and I mean – REALLY enjoyed. I love oils, especially those that are not too heavy and leave the skin feeling extremely soft.
Overall, the Discovery Kit was a nice introduction to the brand that I’ve heard so much about but never had the chance to lay my hands on. I want to try more Indie Lee products soon.
The Discovery Kit can be found at the Indie Lee website, Sephora, for $29; the UK – here for £27.
