Depression is a mood disorder that described as the feeling of sorrow, anger, or loss and its effect on the life of a particular person. People are now a day’s experiencing depression in many ways. It affects your daily work, loss of productivity, and time. Depression can cause several other chronic disorders.

 

It is very important to know that feeling down for any reason is normal if it is temporary. If you are feeling down for any reason on your daily basis it may be a sign of depression.

Depression is examined as a serious condition that can get worse as time passes.

What are the symptoms of depression?

Depression can cause a variety of signs. It can affect your mood and can also affect your body.

Many people experience different symptoms let discuss some of them.

Effects on mood -irritability, anxiousness, aggressiveness

Change behavior – such as not finding pleasure in favorite activities, loss of interest, thoughts of suicide

Sexual interest -Lack of sexual performance

Sleep pattern -restless sleep, insomnia, and not sleeping, excessive sleepiness

Cognitive abilities –difficulty completing the task, inability to concentrate, delay of responses during conversation

What are the causes of depression?

Depression may have several causes common causes may include:

Family history– You may be at higher chances of depression if you have a family history of depression

Medical conditions– Some medications can lead you to depression such as insomnia, chronic illness, or chronic pain.

Drug use– Alcohol or use may higher the risk of depression.

Depression can be long term or it can be temporary but treatment does not provide complete relief from depression. But treatment may make your depression more manageable. The right combination of medications is necessary for proper therapy.

You should do some yoga, meditation, and exercise it will help you in better sleeping and reduce depression symptoms.
